Our History

The word Elia in Greek  denotes both  the olive fruit and the olive tree. The olive tree is  the  symbol of peace, victory and wisdom. In the land of our ancestors and throughout  the Mediterranean coast, olive trees are in abundance.   The fruit of the olive tree has been a source of both nourishment and income for thousands of years. What makes olive trees unique is that they can thrive in any terrain with  minimum maintenance and trees have survived for many decades. The final pressed product, a fragrant and delicious olive oil is well known to the entire world. Olives and olive oil have been the basis of the Mediterranean diet and cuisine since antiquity.

Our passion for fresh ingredients, cooking, wine, and  hospitality drives our business.  The area we wanted to market our products and services was an easy decision. Miami is a city that understands the need of a healthy way of eating, exercising, taking care your body, mind and soul. A city full of young professionals, educated, active, energetic with busy schedules but at the same time not willing to compromise their healthy eating habits. A generation of people that understand the importance of educating the new generation to embrace a healthy way of life that starts at their everyday table. Elia Cafe and Mediterranean  Products can be a small piece of the puzzle of an everyday healthy life style.   For our Cafe selections, we proudly source fresh local seasonal ingredients.  Our market features the best Greek Extra Virgin Olive oil and Greek Feta as well as other ingredients with which to build a healthy Mediterranean diet. We also take pride in providing our customers with specialty homemade products like Tzatziki, Spicy Feta Spread or Hummus, that are made with a lot of love, care and passion. We believe that the foundation and core of our company's future success is passion, knowledge and dedication.  Having these beliefs as the core of our concept and in addition to over 35 years of combined experience in the food & hospitality industry we feel confident that we can be a great fit to today's health conscious consumer's lifestyle.
